Men's Health Month
All of June Men’s Health Month is celebrated. The purpose of this week is to shed light on the health issues men face and encourage seeking early prevention for treatment.
There is stigma surrounding mental health, especially when it comes to men. Men’s mental health issues are likely to go overlooked because of the difference in coping mechanisms. Men are less likely to talk about their feelings and instead resort to vices such as alcohol due to the culture of masculinity. This has been normalized, but it does not mean it is okay.
We encourage you to start a conversation and check in with your loved ones. If needed, guide them towards mental health professionals to best support them. Our therapists are always here for you. Contact us today.
