Bell Let’s Talk Day

At Mind By Design, we are dedicated to supporting initiatives that aim to reduce the stigma around mental health and make mental healthcare more accessible to everyone. These are some of our most important values, and we are proud to support mental health initiatives such as Bell Let’s Talk day. The Bell Let's Talk initiative focuses on raising awareness, decreasing negative stereotypes, and promoting action around mental health by addressing four main areas: eliminating the social stigma surrounding mental health, increasing access to care, funding world-class research, and being a leader in promoting workplace mental health. If you would like to know how you can get involved, please see below.

Bell’s Let's Talk initiative is important as it aims to raise awareness and reduce the negative stereotypes associated with mental health. This is done by promoting open dialogue and conversations around the topic. The initiative also provides funding for mental health research which can aid in the understanding of mental health conditions and can improve the quality of support and care available.

You can contribute to the initiative by participating in Bell Let's Talk Day, which can be done by making calls, sending text messages, or tweeting using the hashtag #BellLetsTalk, for which Bell will donate 5 cents each time for mental health programs in Canada. Bell aims to raise over $150 million for mental health promotion in Canada by 2025. The next Bell Let’s Talk day is January 25th.

People can also contribute by breaking the silence and openly discussing mental health, by listening and being supportive of others who are struggling, and by educating themselves about mental health issues and encouraging others to do the same.

If you or a loved one is struggling with a mental health-related concern, seek advice from a local mental health and addiction agency or personal physician for more information. If you are in crisis, please go to the closest hospital or call 911. Remember, help is always available to you.
