Mind By Design® is looking for mental health practitioners to join our dynamic and rapidly growing team across Ontario! We are looking for Psychologists, Psychological Associates, Psychotherapists, Social Workers, and Addictions Counselors.

We are seeking passionate professionals who are growth-oriented and interested in advancing their skills and knowledge in a rapidly growing field. Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Clinical Director, the incumbent will conduct assessments and treatment for a wide demographic of clients. The practitioner’s role on the team includes contributing to group enrichment, attending group supervision, and possibly contributing to research and content creation. The candidate will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable and regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications:

The candidate must have a Masters or Ph.D. in psychology from an APA/CPA accredited clinical psychology program, or a MSW, with at least 1 year experience working in an integrated clinical environment with a particular emphasis on pain management, anxiety, mood, addictions, concurrent and/or personality disorders. Experience with evidence-based psychotherapeutic modalities is required.

Experience with ADD/ADHD, challenging behaviours, treatment of tics, Tourette’s Syndrome, and repetitive behaviours (e.g., skin picking, hair pulling, etc.), eating disorders, addictions, and self-harm is a preference and significant asset. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a clinical environment and with diverse communities are essential. Must be able to manage her/his/their time effectively, work independently, and be a team player. Qualified in child and adolescent matters and additional languages are assets.

 

The following languages are currently in need:

Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Greek, Hindi, Tamil, Mandarin, Cantonese, Taglog, Russian, Farsi, and Urdu.

 

Required Qualifications Highlights

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree from a university in counselling, psychology, or related mental health field.

  • Registration with CPO/CRPO/OCSWSSW.

  • 1+ years of experience providing counselling/psychotherapy/supervision.

  • Ability to communicate and write proficiently in English, another language an asset.

  • Strong theoretical and conceptual knowledge regarding client problems and change.

  • Ability to work with diversity and work cross-culturally.

  • Possess professional liability Insurance.

  • Impeccable report and charting skills are required.

 

This part-time/Full-time position is a permanent contract position.
