This is an eating disorder characterized by uncontrollable binge eating, followed by purging the food via vomiting or laxatives. It must be recognized that most people suffering from bulimia are of normal weight (at least initially) so they use binge eating to hide their bulimia. As a result, it can be hard to know if someone has bulimia until much later when they have lost a lot of weight.
